FILAMENT PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: June 2026
The short version
We're just as annoyed by creepy internet tracking as you are. We've turned off as much tracking as we can. We collect only what we need to run our business and communicate with you. We don't sell your information. We don't share it with advertisers. We won't spam you.
If you want the details, keep reading.

We use this to send you our newsletter. You can unsubscribe anytime with one click.
When you make a purchase (event tickets, workshops, etc.):

Cross-site browsing behavior
Social Security numbers or government IDs

Who we share your information with

Stripe and/or PayPal — for payment processing (via Squarespace)
Google Workspace — for email, spreadsheets, and documents
AI Tools — We use AI assistants (such as Claude and ChatGPT) to help with internal work like writing, research, and analysis. We use AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT for internal work such as writing and research. We use settings designed to keep your information out of their model training wherever that option exists. We can't control how these providers run their systems, so check their policies if you want the specifics.
We don't sell your information to anyone. We don't share it with data brokers. We don't let advertisers target you based on your visit to our site. If we ever need to share your information for a specific reason (like if you're attending an event with a co-sponsor), we'll tell you first.
How we protect your information
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. Payment information is encrypted and processed by PCI-compliant payment providers. We limit access to personal information to team members who need it to do their jobs.
That said, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We do our best, but we can't guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep your information
Contact form submissions: Until we've completed our conversation, then archived for our records
Newsletter subscribers: Until you unsubscribe
Event registrations: For the duration of your participation plus a reasonable period for follow-up
Purchase records: As long as required for tax, legal, and customer service purposes (typically 7 years for financial records)
We try not to keep your information longer than we need it.

Cookies
We've disabled optional cookies and tracking on our site. Squarespace may still use essential cookies required for the site to function (like keeping you logged in if you create an account, or maintaining your shopping cart during checkout). These are functional, not for advertising or tracking.

The bottom line
We built Filament to help people work better together. That means treating you the way we'd want to be treated — with respect, transparency, and without the creepy data harvesting that makes the internet feel gross.
Thanks for trusting us with your information. We don't take that lightly.
