OTHER WAYS TO PLAY

  1. Trait Storytelling: Have participants pick a card and then share a real-life story or experience that demonstrates how they exemplified the trait on the card. This can be a fun way to understand how different traits manifest themselves in behavior.

  2. Future Aspirations: Participants choose cards that represent traits they aspire to develop. They discuss steps they can take to cultivate these traits and how these traits can benefit them professionally and personally.

  3. Card Combos: Players combine two or three cards to create a “composite trait” and then discuss how these traits can complement each other. This can help in understanding how various traits interact and can be mutually reinforcing.

  4. Trade and Upgrade: Each participant selects a trait they feel is a strength and one they want to improve. They discuss why they chose those cards and then ‘trade’ the improvement card with someone else, committing to helping each other develop in these areas.

  5. Trait Bingo: Create a bingo-style grid for each participant. Have them place cards on the grid and then call out situations. Participants mark a trait that they think is best suited to deal with that situation. Aim for a full row/column.

  6. Historical Figures: Participants select cards that they think would best describe a historical figure or famous person in their field. Discuss how these traits contributed to their achievements.

  7. Dream Team: Divide participants into groups. Each group selects cards to create an ideal team with complementary traits. Groups discuss why they chose these traits and how they would work together.

  8. Trait Evolution: Participants pick a trait they have improved upon over time. They share stories from when they struggled with it and how they evolved to where they are now.

  9. Find Your Twin: Everyone picks a card that represents one of their traits. They then have to find someone else in the room who either shares that trait or has a complementary trait.

  10. Role Reversal: Managers and direct reports swap roles. Managers pick cards representing traits they'd like to improve upon, and employees pick cards representing leadership traits. They discuss what they can learn from each other.

  11. Comic Strip Creation: Participants use a combination of trait cards to create a character. They then develop a short comic strip or story involving a challenge and how their character used those traits to overcome it.

  12. Goal-Oriented Traits: Participants pick cards representing traits they think will help them achieve a specific goal. They discuss strategies for employing these traits effectively.
